Human resources have a variety of techniques that are used when addressing common issues. The objective of this selection was to bring awareness of appropriate techniques and processes when addressing human resource problems.
At the completion of this course, I believe I have an understanding of the techniques used when common issues arise. One of the most important methods used when managing quarrels arising against teachers, between teachers and administrators, and between parents and staff is active intervention. According to Seyfarth, mediation, arbitration, and ombudsmen are appropriate techniques. Through these conflict resolutions methods, all parties are allowed to voice their opinions and results are developed through various methods.
On the other hand, many district like Montgomery County schools, have taken a proactive approach of conflict resolution. This approach consists of administrators avoiding the destructive effects of disputes by improving teamwork and collaboration together with units and individuals. As a result, preventing conflicts rather than waiting for disputes to arise and then solving them is the method that seems to be most effective.
